The Northern Berkshire Creative Arts spring and summer class schedules are now available. NBCA is located at Western Gateway Heritage State Park on State Street. This spring, children’s classes include Clay: Pots for Spring Flowers, Rhythm Tap Dance, Your Mold - Animal Mask Making and Photography: Create Your Own Photo Album. A full schedule of week-long summer art camps for ages 5-9 and 10-13 is also available online. Spaces are still available for the following spring adult and teen classes: The Artist Book, and Intro to Oil Painting. Summer adult and teen classes include Keeping a Sketchbook, and Summer Pastels. Warmer weather brings visitors to the city of North Adams and marks the opening of the Tourist Booth on Union Street. The booth will be open from 10:00 – 4:00 PM, seven days a week, from the first weekend in June through Columbus Day, October 8, 2007. Working at the tourist booth is easy and rewarding; training will be provided and transportation to the booth can be arranged. Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts will celebrate the opening of its six renovated tennis courts at the Joseph Zavattaro Athletic Complex on Saturday, April 28 from 10:00 - 12:00 PM. “Bible Studies”, an interactive art installation by North Adams artist Robert Cubie, is featured in the Eclipse Gallery April 28 through May 20. The opening reception will be held Saturday, April 28 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. The Eclipse Mill is at 243 Union Street and is open from 12:00 – 5:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

Students from MCLA’s Fine and Performing Arts Department will present “The Music of Duke Ellington” on Monday, April 30, at 7:30 PM at the Sweetwood Continuing Care Retirement Community, 1611 Cold Spring Road, in Williamstown. The hour-long concert is free and open to the public.

The Drury High School Girls Softball Booster Club is holding a Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser on Thursday, May 3, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the North Adams American Legion. The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for seniors and children under 10 years of age.
